Legends FC Welcomes Carlos Gomez as Boys Sports Performance Coach
Norco, CA – October 23, 2025 – Legends FC is proud to announce the hiring of Carlos Gomez as the club’s new Boys Sports Performance Coach, strengthening the organization’s commitment to elite player development and holistic athlete care.
Gomez brings a wealth of athletic, academic, and professional experience to Legends FC. A former NCAA Division I Track and Field & Cross Country athlete, Gomez holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science from California State University, Northridge and a Master of Science in Human Performance from California Baptist University.
His professional journey includes an internship at EXOS, where he worked with NFL, MLB, collegiate, and high school athletes, gaining advanced expertise in performance training systems. In 2019, Gomez joined the LA Galaxy as an intern with the second team and quickly rose to become the Head of Sports Performance for the Academy.
During his tenure with LA Galaxy, Gomez:
Led the physical development of academy players, focusing on movement efficiency, agility, conditioning, speed, training load tracking, and return-to-play strategies.
Contributed to the signing of over 50 players to professional and collegiate programs.
Played a key role in securing three MLS Next national championships (two at U17 and one at U19).
As Legends FC’s Boys Sports Performance Coach, Gomez will oversee the physical and athletic development of players, ensuring they maximize performance, reduce injury risk, and prepare for opportunities at the next level.
