More than 20 Legends FC Female Athletes Commit to Top Collegiate Programs on National Signing Day

National Signing Day was filled with excitement, elation and ultimately a profound sense of accomplishment for the Legends FC players, families, and coaching staff who have all been so committed towards this goal.

This year marked a watershed moment for the program as more than 23 young women signed letters of intent with elite level collegiate programs across the country.  “For me and my team, today encapsulated why we began this program more than 10 years ago – to create a program that can provide all the professional coaching and development support needed for young athletes to realize their full athletic potential. For many in our program, that is a college and/or professional athletic career,” said Hodges.

National Signing Day is a dramatic annual event when athletes from around the country commit to a college program.  For many athletes this is a life changing moment – years of hard work, sacrifice, and commitment have now resulted in realizing their dream of higher level education and athletic competition. “As a mentor to many of the girls that selected their future universities today, I am so proud that they have reached this incredible milestone. At Legends, national signing day is something we look forward to all year. It is a time when years of effort are rewarded with new horizons opening for these girls, said Richard Antoine, Legends FC College Coordinator.

The players in this class are a strong representation of one of the core values of Legends – family.  Legends has created an atmosphere where girls want to come and stay for a long time in an environment which allows them to flourish both on and off the field. Fifteen girls within this class have been at Legends for more than five years, which shows their belief in the club’s proven development system. This development has brought tremendous success on the field and allowed many of these players the opportunity to not only participate but win many of the most prestigious team events in club and high school soccer. The team accomplishments include: 2 Youth National Championships, 3 Regional Championships, 2 National League Titles, 4 Cal South State Championships, 2 ODP Regional Championships, 2 ODP National Championships, 1 CIF Championship and various high school league titles.  Many of the players have also thrived at an individual level, their accomplishments include: US Youth National Team, National ODP, Regional ODP, Cal South State ODP, High School League MVP, and numerous High School All-League performers.
