Legends FC Boys Program Granted US Soccer Development Academy Status

US Soccer welcomes the Legends FC Boys Program to the USSDA!!

Legends FC and its boys program has had a long history of player development within the community.  Since its inception in 2002 the club’s commitment to developing the individual player has played an integral part in the growth and influence on young players in its surrounding communities.  “The commitment from our staff to always put player development first, and their dedication to the club’s core values and philosophies, has led us to this point”, says General Manager Alex Bengard.  “We are pleased and excited that our hard work is paying off and eager to work with US Soccer in developing our countries next national team players.”

The announcement of the Boys’ Academy status for Legends FC comes at a perfect time in the club’s growth of the boys program.  With the recent hiring of Brent Broadhurst has the Boys Director, he brings along with him extensive knowledge of the sport of soccer in our country and an expertise in youth player development. “We have been working very hard to create a a developmental curriculum and environment for our players that’s not only competitive and challenging but also positive, educational and memorable” says Brent Broadhurst.  “US Soccers’ commitment to us as an organization shows we are on the right track.  We are very excited about this opportunity and are looking forward to the journey ahead.”

Legends FC Boys Program has always been one based on community, family and player development.  With the addition of the Academy Program to the boys side the future is bright for every player that is a part of the Legends FC Family.
