Pat Lane Goes PRO!
Former LA Legends Player Now at Cercle Brugge

LA Legends goalkeeper, Patrick Lane  has given up his remaining college eligibility for the opportunity of a lifetime! On August 1st, Lane signed a one year professional contract with Belgian club, Cercle Brugge and is already training and playing with the team.  View Pat’s page!  In 2008, Lane played 8 matches for the LA Legends, recording 2 shutouts and 37 saves. In 2007, Lane spent his summer with the Legends and his fall as Loyola Marymount University’s starting goalkeeper - posting a 1.66 goals-against-average. 

Cercle Brugge opens its 2008-09 season on August 15 at home against 2007-08 runners-up Anderlecht. The team  enters its sixth consecutive season in the Jupiler League, Belgium’s top flight. The team has won the league four times and placed fourth last season. The club features Belgian national team members Thomas Buffel and Stijn De Smet, the latter of whom is currently representing Belgium at the Beijing Olympics.
