In only their second home match, the LA Legends Women pulled off a tie against the 2x National Champion Fort Collins Force. Alexis Farler scored for the Legends in the 3rd minute, finishing a Courtney Price cross from inside the six yard box. Less than a minute later, the Fort Collins Force responded with a goal of their own when Force defender Lisa Cole drilled a free kick into the net from 25 yards out.  The match became increasingly physical with 24 fouls committed between the two teams. The intensity only increased when the Force’s Emmalie Pfankuch, was red carded in the 60th minute, forcing the Force to play a man down for the remaining 30 minutes. The Force outshot the Legends 20 shots to 13 shots, but was unable to capture the win. Legends goalkeepers Brittany Massro and Breanna Truelove each played a half. The match was played at APU's Cougar Stadium on Saturday, June 28 at 5pm.
