Laterza has traveled the world experiencing different cultures and styles of soccer.  He has played in Paraguay, Mexico, USA (Galaxy), and China.  He is fluent in Spanish, English, Portuguese, Guarani and speaks some Mandarin and Cantonese.  He has had the chance to play with some great players throughout his career such as Paul Gascoigne (England International), Fan Yi (China International), and Anilton Da Conceicao (Sao Paulo FC-Brasil) to name a few.

Professional Career Highlights:  APSL finalist (Los Angeles SALSA), Paraguayan League Champs (Cerro Porteno), Competed in two Toyota Copa Libertadores - South American Tournament (Cerro Porteno & Guarani), Competed in Comebol - South American Tournament (Cerro Porteno), Recipient of the Paraguayan Goal of the Year Award, Finalist CONCACAF - North American Tournament (Galaxy), Competed in Asian Winner’s Cup (South China Athletic FC),Chinese League Champions (South China Athletic FC), and Member of 2000 China Best 11 Team.

Local Connection:  Laterza played locally for Walnut High School.  During his sophomore and senior years he led the team to CIF Championships. For both of those seasons, Laterza was awarded the CIF Player of the Year for his outstanding soccer talents and leadership on and off the field.
